He also played the role of the President of Mexico in Once Upon a Time.On November 2011,Armendariz was diagnose with eye cancer.During the filming of "la Fuerza del destino". On December 26, 2011, Armendáriz Jr. died of cancer at age 71 in New York City.Memorial Hospital.
